Work Experience
Apr. 2007 - present: Research fellow, INRIA Rhone-Alpes
* Proposed and implemented a new character-posing system,
which is fast enough and guarantees to generate natural poses.
* Proposed and implemented a new motion-data compression
system, which provides 5~10 times higher compression-ratio than existing
methods.
* Developed real-time 3D-model reconstruction system with GPU-based
marching cubes.
* Integrated hardware-supported volume rendering.
* Image/Volume segmentation
* Implemented sketch-based image matting/segmentation system.
* Studied on a new sketch-based interactive volume
segmentation algorithm.
* Developed our experimental system with ITK, VTK, FLTK and
ITK-SNAP.
Oct. 2006 - Mar. 2007: Software development engineer (Intern), Autodesk Inc.
* Developed Autodesk Architecture Desktop (Leading
Architecture-Modeling Software)
* Cooperated with colleagues in the US to design and
implement new features of the wall-cleanup scheme which is the kernel part of
the software.
* Worked on fixing bugs. Fixed several
performance bugs.
* Took part in the software release cycle.
* Developed an automatic performance-testing tool for the
software.
Jun. 2005 - Feb.2006:Visisting student, Microsoft Research Asia
* Proposed and implemented a fast style-transfer algorithm
for human motion editing.
* Implemented OpenGL texture mapping with C++.
* Implemented systems for meshing simplification and
deformation.
* Implemented physically based simulating system for
fruit-softening.
* Advised three interns for OpenGL training and paper
implementation.
Sep. 2004 - Jul. 2006: Teaching assistant of Advance Computer Graphics and
Scientific Data Visualization
* Guided students
implementing representative algorithms of computer graphics and scientific data
visualization.
* Gave several lectures on the state-of-the-art techniques of
computer graphics.
